Queen Cheyenne Phillips

Cheyenne Phillips of Dayton, Oregon was named Queen of the Northwest Youth Rodeo Association on August 15, 2009. She won the crown by capturing high scores in the categories of horsemanship and speech. In addition she won Miss Congeniality. Cheyenne began her involvement with rodeo at the age of 3. She won the NYRA Pre-Peewee division All Around saddle in 2004. She has continued to compete to win the Junior division All Around saddle in 2007 in Central Oregon and the NYRA PeeWee division All Around saddle in 2009. By age 11 Cheyenne has had the opportunity to barrel race, pole bend, goat tie, and breakaway rope. Now Cheyenne is thrilled and honored to be Queen for the Northwest Youth Rodeo Association for 2010. She is making it her goal to be a positive influence and role model. In addition to rodeo she loves basketball, the beach, and camping. Cheyenne would like to say "thanks" for the support of her family and looks forward to hitting the road this summer with her horse Jewel and traveling all over Oregon to fulfill her dream, she believes in "riding on faith" and that makes anything possible.

Princess Macy Sullenger

Hi, My name is Macy Sullenger of Dallas.  I am the 12 year old daughter of Missy Liggett and Tim Sullenger, and the younger sister to Jake.  I have been a member of the NW Youth Rodeo Association for 5 years.  My events are barrel racing, pole bending, and goat tying; of these events my favorite is goat tying.  I have 2 horses, Kenya, a 10 year old pony, and Duke, a 6 year old Quarter Horse in training.   I have been honored to represent the NYRA as a Princess for a 2nd year.   It's been my privilege to travel throughout the State meeting new people while promoting the Association and the sport of rodeo.  I look forward to another busy year and the people I will meet.   See you all at the rodeo!!

Princess Madison Wyant

Princess Madison Wyant is a 15 year old Sophomore at Dallas High School, in Dallas, Oregon.  Madison lives with her parents David and Jackie Wyant, and her sister, Taylor, 18.  She got her first horse, McKenzey, at the age of eight, while living on a cattle ranch in Nashville, Tennessee.  Madison has lettered on the Dallas OHSET team, competing at state in five events as a freshman, and competing and placing in the finals in Northwest Youth Rodeo for the past three summers.  This year along with her responsibilities as a NYRA Princess, she is competing in Oregon High School Rodeo.  After graduation, she hopes to go to a college with a rodeo team, and keep competing at the college level.  Madison has two rodeo partners, Ella, a quarter horse paint mare, and Gunner, a quarter horse gelding. Madison’s dreams of barrel racing and rodeo princess have now come true, and her new ambition and goals are to keep barrel racing, and to one day own her own horse ranch, specializing in equine medicine/therapy.
